First contractors of the Gdansk Airport chosen

The Board of the Gdansk Rebiechowo Airport chose contractors of the new terminal and lane for planes within the airport.
Designed by the Polish-German company JSK Architects company, the terminal will be erected by consortium of Budimex Dromex and Doraco building companies. Net contract’s value is PLN 153m. Offer of these companies was most favorable – while the biggest price in the group of 14 tender’s participants was offered by consortium of Mostostal Warszawa and Accipona Infrastructuras (PLN 250m). On the other hand the difference between winning offer and second and third most favorable offers was really small – it was PLN 1 and PLN 2m (offered prices: PLN 154m by Warbud and PLN 155m by Hochtief).
Construction works will commence in spring of 2010 and first passengers will be served in the first quarter of 2012. Skanska in turn will construct for PLN 54.9m new lane for planes in the airport. The biggest price among rejected offers was PLN 95m. Contracts will be signed in February next year and are scheduled for 22 months. Total value of all investments planned is approx. PLN 455m, of which PLN 133m will be taken from the EU funds.
Another tender – on construction of the stopping place for planes will be decided in the nearest future.
