Huge interest in Warsaw project

As much as 62 architectural studios applied to the competition for a preparation of an urban concept for development of the Okecie Airport surroundings.
The 10-hectare land located near Zwirki i Wigury St. is to be developed into office buildings and retail facilities. The competition has been announced by Panstwowe Porty Lotnicze, the company which plans to develop a complex of an area of 250,000 sqm. Apart from offices and retail units it will comprise conference and exhibition halls and a large car park for 14,000 cars (9,000 places for purposes of the airport and 5,000 places for new retail and office facilities). The winner will be selected on March 19.
The group of competitors include famous Polish and foreign studios such as Estudio Lamela, Sener, Broadway Malyane as well as JSK and JEMS Architekci.
